Built From the Sea Floor Up
In 1970, on the rugged and remote shores of Masirah Island off the coast of Oman, Sultan Muhammad Al Humaidi founded a marine enterprise from the ground up. With no blueprint but ambition, and no resource but the sea itself, he built a company that would grow to define Oman's marine construction sector.
For nearly four decades, under Sultan Muhammad's leadership, the company delivered major harbour construction, dredging, pipeline installation, and offshore logistics projects across the Sultanate and beyond — building a reputation founded on reliability, technical excellence, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
That legacy did not end in 2008. It was inherited.

Today, Salim Sultan Al Humaidi leads Masirah Island International LLC (MII) — independently founded to carry the family's marine heritage into the 21st century. With ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications, operations across 6 regions, and a growing GCC footprint, MII is the living embodiment of Sultan Muhammad's original vision.

Regional Expansion

Sultan Muhammad Al Humaidi transitions the original company. His son, Salim Sultan Al Humaidi, begins laying the groundwork to carry the family's marine heritage into a new era.
MII Founded
Salim Sultan Al Humaidi independently founds Masirah Island International LLC (MII), honouring the family name and bringing his father's 56 years of expertise to a new generation of projects.
GCC Expansion
MII expands operations across Oman — Musandam, Sohar, Duqm, and Salalah — and extends into the UAE with projects in Sharjah, establishing a multi-regional presence.
Oman to Asia
With ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications achieved, MII sets its sights on the Indian subcontinent and Asia, becoming Oman's marine partner of choice for the global stage.
